About My Classes

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is an in depth dive into one’s own body, mind and heart. It is more than just putting the body into shapes and staying for time- it’s an exploration supported by nature, metaphor and poetry. Each class is a journey to connect to the deeper parts of yourself, beginning with the yin tissue of the body, tendons, joints and ligaments . With my careful guidance you will feel the gentle opening and stretch the practice provides for your hips, low back, hamstrings, shoulders and chest. Flexibility is improved, breathing becomes more spacious and relaxation ensues.

Meditation

Meditation is a practice steeped in the energy of lineage and the wisdom of great teachers . For the first few years of my practice I “surfed” thru the traditions of Zen, insight and vipassana meditation, Vedic and Bhakti practices, Jon Kabat Zinn and MBSR, compassion cultivation training and the relationship between mindfulness and western psychology before finding my home in Tibetan Buddhism and the Nyingma lineage. I took formal vows of refuge in June 2017.

My meditation practice has been one of the best supports in my life. It has allowed me the most intimate connection to myself. It has guided me thru difficult times with time proven practice’s to soothe my mind.

Meditation is a practice of wholeness. It is a (system, tradition) steeped in the energy of lineage and the wisdom of great teachers. It’s is a guiding philosophy to get to know one’s own mind, and a framework to building a spiritual life. Meditation invites the exploration and development of joy, resilience and compassion. Meditation practices teaches us how to be our own best friend.

QiGong

Qigong is a classical energy practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Daoist Philosophy.  It is a practice that encourages a radical reduction of muscular tension in your body thru its fluid, often circular movements, directed intention and the use of one’s natural breathing.

The framework of the Five Element practices allows one to see the body as a living landscape. You are able to feel our interconnectedness between ourselves and nature - recognize that nature is not outside of us but part of us.

It is a unique experience of wholeness

Varying Your Vinyasa

Rooted in the wisdom of lineage and deeply influenced by Ashtanga Yoga and Iyengar Yoga, this class is an evolution of decades of dedicated practice, specialized study, and embodied exploration.

Varying Your Vinyasa was born from a desire to refresh the familiar and challenge habitual movement patterns. While honoring the integrity of traditional forms, this practice invites you out of your comfort zone and into new possibilities.

Expect creative sequencing, diverse variations, and skillful use of props to illuminate alignment, build strength, and expand awareness. Familiar shapes may be approached from unexpected pathways. Transitions become opportunities for inquiry. The flow shifts—sometimes subtly, sometimes boldly—awakening both body and mind.

This is not variation for its own sake, but variation as a doorway: to resilience, adaptability, and deeper presence.

Come prepared to explore, refine, and rediscover what is possible.
